Upgrading the airfield and addressing the Civil Aviation Authority’s remarks at Port Said Airport
Scope of Work
- Milling with a constant thickness of 5 cm for parts of the runway, apron, and taxiway connections.
- Cutting and removing the old asphalt layer from the apron and taxiway connections.
- Constructing a stabilized base layer with a thickness of 30 cm on the existing layers
- Constructing a binder layer with a thickness of 5 cm in the required areas
- Applying a micro-surfacing layer on the runway, connections, and apron.
- Repairing cracks after milling operations
- Installing polyester mesh reinforcement in defective areas
- Re-marking and painting navigational markings on the runway and apron
- Applying a protective treatment layer to strengthen the surface in certain areas of the runway and apron
- Treating through-cracks in concrete slabs
- Constructing joints between concrete slabs
- Leveling surfaces and repairing concrete slab surfaces
